The Opportunity
The Therapeutic Practice Coordinator will work directly in Regional Operations alongside leadership and front-line teams to support and guide the service in providing therapeutic care to young people, informed by the Safe Places for Children Integrated Practice Framework, evidence-based practice, and innovations in therapeutic, trauma-informed care.
The Coordinator will oversee daily care of young people and play a key role in case planning to ensure care decisions are in the best interests of the young person, with consistent application of preferred models of care within the service.
Deliver trusted advice by staying current with best practices in trauma-informed care, legislative knowledge, and licensing processes, applying this when advising on therapeutic strategies and behaviour support planning.
Advocate for and guide the therapeutic needs of young people through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Promote Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) by offering and delivering tailored TCI training packages suitable for the area's needs.
Support front-line teams and leaders post-crisis, including critical incident analysis and response.
Facilitate case review functions at a local level, providing recommendations and expertise in care planning through Case Clinics and related documentation, such as PBSPs, to drive quality outcomes and therapeutic care.
Represent the voices of young people through annual surveys, team meetings, and site visits.
Consult on intakes and referrals, including risk assessments, and assist teams in property preparation and planning post-referral.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people and our communities, demonstrating the following attributes and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline, or a Diploma of Community Services (or related discipline) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Excellent communication skills, including stakeholder presentation, consultation, and negotiation.
