**About the role**:
The primary purpose of the role is to support the project and John Holland to achieve its obligated training target as specified by the client using the Queensland Government's Building and Construction Training Policy. A key component of the role is to work closely with subcontractors to develop training plans, identify training options, collect, manage, and report training data. The role will also require external engagement with government, community, industry, and local stakeholders as part of the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program's commitment to Communication and Stakeholder Engagement and Local Content outcomes for the Fraser Coast Region.
**Training**
- Utilise the Queensland Government's Building and Construction Training Policy to achieve project training obligations through collecting, managing, and reporting of training data and ensuring compliance with all aspects of the policy.
- Assist with the implementation of comprehensive training and development strategies to suit project needs and contractual obligations.
- Work closely with sub-contractors to develop training plans and ensure training genuinely addresses organisational and individual needs through appropriate resourcing and skills development.
- Coordinate training opportunities for new entrants and existing workers.
- Work closely with external stakeholders such as Construction Skills Queensland and Community groups to identify opportunities for participation, engagement, and employment outcomes.
- Coordinate employment and training opportunities to improve diverse workforce participation.
**Community Engagement**
- Support in the delivery of the project's Communication and Stakeholder Engagement and Local Content Requirements relevant to John Holland activities.
- Support development of strong client relationships, through the timely provision of information and data in response to requests.
- Liaise with the construction team and client to identify upcoming works, impacts, and opportunities to support project obligations.
- Support the engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, Traditional Custodians, and businesses.
**Preferred Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Diploma or Certificate in Training**:
- **Demonstrated training experience in a construction environment with a head contractor in Australia.**
