The Inventory Control Manager will have an in-depth knowledge and control all facets of the inventory control requirements in Australia and working knowledge in New Zealand. The Manager will oversee and guide transactions which impacts inventory accuracy. The Manager will develop an effective partnership between inventory controllers, store operations and finance controllers to ensure Stock Control Policies & Procedures are in place and are being adhered to; to ensure the company's merchandise is controlled and accounted for in line with internal DFS procedures & Customs regulations.

Be familiar with company objectives and know your contributions to deliver clear targets with DFS's goals and objectives. The Manager will utilize data, logic to identify areas of opportunity and implement sustainable improvement solutions in the areas of Inventory Control.

**Team and Service Management**
- Effectively communicate company goals in support of the department's performance objectives and strategies.
- Assist team members in setting goals and objectives which remain focused on overall business, and review progress on those on a regular basis

**Monthly Performance Statistics**
- Ensuring tasks allocated on financial close calendar are completed on time.

**Stock Control**
- Plan and execute regular and systematic physical stock counts of merchandise held at all locations, comparing to General Ledger
- Perform analysis of inventory, including obsoletes, stock take variances, ensuring appropriate corrective action.
- Support Loss Prevention in identification, analysis and minimization of stock loss.

**Key Requirements**:

- College or University Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in, with a minimum 3 years at managerial position, in Inventory/Stock Control capacity
- Inventory Management skills and General accounting knowledge
- Fluency in English, with demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated track record in inventory accuracy, stock control, security, safety, and people management
- Good problem solving skills and can identify root causes of failures to implement improvements
- Six Sigma certification, APICs, Supply Chain Certification, and/or other professional certifications are a plus.
- Possesses a high-energy level and understand the need for speed and agility in accomplishing tasks within one's area of responsibility
- Completes and manages daily tasks and projects in a systematic and orderly manner. Works efficiently and effectively utilizes their time
- Uses data, logic, and factual analysis to solve problems with effective solutions and minimizes the impact of emotion and bias in decision making
- Possess a Collaborative personality who works well with cross-functional teams
