Quality Control Technologist, Oceania (12-Month Contract)

The Position
  • Perform daily analysis of raw materials and finished products according to inspection plans within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain QC programs, test plans and records and document quality issues and performance metrics
  • Set up and maintain product specifications and inspection plans in SAP and collaborate with cross functional departments to troubleshoot issues
  • Validate, calibrate and maintain analytical equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
  • Investigate out of specification results and support root cause analysis as well as corrective actions in collaboration with cross function teams.
  • Assist in complaint investigations and help manage quality issues during production to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Conduct training and collaborate with cross functional teams on quality and safety practices to ensure compliance and operational consistency
  • Conduct environmental swabbing, coordinate sample submission and document/report test results
  • Assist in the preparation for and participate in GMP audits
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations and industry standards related to quality, food safety and workplace health and safety (WHS).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives on site and actively contribute to the Technical Hub to enhance operational excellence
The Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related fields with at least 1 year of experience in QC within food & beverage, ingredients, pharmaceuticals or similar industries. Strong recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Hands-on experience with basic laboratory instruments and data entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience is an added advantage and training will be provided
  • Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver with clear communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours as required
