You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Development and continuous improvement of RTWC internal training material.
- Continuous improvement of IM resources and RTWC training based on audit outcomes
- Support RTWCs at all initial medical practitioner case conferences, and subsequently as required.
- Manage non-work-related injuries/illnesses to determine appropriate strategies to support in consultation with internal personnel
- Participate in scheduled site and insurer claim reviews and provide RTW/IM strategies for current IP and WC claims.
- Injury Management Support Systems
- Ensure current IM/WC/IP tools are meeting organisational needs.
- Injury management platform (SolvInjury)
- Provide training and support for SolvInjury system users.
- Maintain SolvInjury database and ensure RTWCs upload relevant claim documentation relating to RTW and injury management
- Monitor/follow up workflow alerts e.g. expired medical certificates of capacity
- Third Party platforms
- Engage and utilise relevant provider platforms for claim management and communication

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional workers compensation legislation
- Knowledge and understanding of the OH&S Act
- Accident Investigation Practices and Procedure
- Interpersonal and presentation skills
- 5-10 years of experience in claims management or rehabilitation work environment
- Must hold a tertiary qualification in allied health or related field
- Training in Workplace Assessment desirable
- Current VIC Return to Work Coordinator certification desirable
