**Description**:
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who will be at the forefront of our content creation efforts - someone who can develop, manage and produce content for internal and external channels ranging from social media to television broadcast. This person will consult with internal departments, external consultants and other key stakeholders. You will need to be experienced using the regular social media platforms as well as Canva, Photoshop and video editing software. This position calls for a team player who loves working collaboratively and building relationships with others.
Whoever fills this role will need to positively contribute to the overall Communications Team, Shared Services Team and across the organisation to meet organisational requirements.
The role reports into our Strategic Communications Manager.
Key Responsibility is Content Development and Management - including:
- Develop and oversee the SLSA weekly content management plan in conjunction with Digital Co-ordinator
- Develop, edit and publish engaging content, primarily video for a variety of digital platforms including social media, website, marketing campaigns
- Create content for maximum impact and engagement that shares the stories of surf lifesaving all across all areas of the movement for internal and external audiences
- Work closely with the communications and marketing teams to assist in the creative development, production and delivery of appropriately branded content that aligns with broader strategies
- Assist with the management and moderation of SLSA social channels
- Assist with the development and delivery of ENewsletters
- Manage video and audio equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition for shooting and recording purposes
- Ensure SLSA photographic and video content is appropriately stored and managed in conjunction with the Digital Content Executive
- Ensure verbal and written communication with stakeholders, both internal and external is appropriate and timely
- Engage with the SLS community and foster connections through relatable content
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align content with organisational objectives
- Maintain awareness and familiarity with emerging digital and social media trends and technologies to incorporate relevant new formats and features into SLSA content that enhances our content offerings
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in communications, content production, digital and content management
Knowledge and experience
- Experience in content management and content management systems
- Strong digital and production skills including video editing
- Proficiency in using the Adobe Creative Suites and/or other appropriate programs
- Experience in Broadcast production
