Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Digital Content Producer to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne. This role will involve developing, creating and producing engaging digital content that captivates our target audience within the Factual & Drama vertical.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in producing digital content for podcasts, radio, television, newspaper or digital media companies. They will possess advanced knowledge of best practice cross-media production techniques, including new media usability principles.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, ensuring all online content adheres to the highest ethical standards. You will also be expected to produce compelling social and video content that aligns with our Factual & Drama content slate, with a specific focus on the Crime genre.

As the Digital Content Producer, you will play a vital role in generating fresh and inventive ideas and producing content that not only resonates with our existing audiences but also attracts new ones to our digital channels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and producing engaging digital content that captures our target audience's attention.
  • Collaborating closely with Factual and Drama Producers, as well as external stakeholders, to produce compelling social and video content.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure all online content adheres to the highest ethical standards.
  • Generating fresh and inventive ideas to produce content that resonates with our existing audiences and attracts new ones to our digital channels.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in producing digital content for podcasts, radio, television, newspaper or digital media companies.
  • Advanced knowledge of best practice cross-media production techniques, including new media usability principles.
  • Ability to produce, write, edit and post-produce audio visual, graphic and text content for digital channels.
  • Experience in managing and leading creative teams.
  • Desired experience in using industry-standard audio and/or video editing tools, including Adobe Audition and Final Cut Pro.
  • Intermediate legal understanding of defamation, contempt and copyright issues.
  • Experience in web publishing, including using Photoshop and HTML is desirable.
  • Understanding of all web-based tools and experience using content management systems (CMS).
  • Demonstrable experience of growing engaged audiences across digital platforms.
