Data Analyst, Chapter Lead - Retail Analytics
12 Month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment
Location - Melbourne
Blended Working Model - Working from the ANZ workplace 2-3 days a week (minimum 2 days)

To help us do this, we need a talented Data Analyst to join our Australia Data tribe. The Australia Data tribe sits within our Australia Retail & Commercial division and our mission is to combine business & technology capabilities to enable analytics, reporting & data asset development by users across ANZ's Australia Retail & Commercial division.

As a Data Analyst Chatper Lead, you deeply understand the power of data to generate quality customer insight, manage information, identify trends and make decisions.

This role is responsible for developing, nurturing and growing analytics capability across the Credit Card and Personal Loans tribe, building and fostering a strong data driven culture and leading a small group Data Analysts, ensuring knowledge sharing, learning, training, up-skilling, career development, and standards / governance / QA are embraced and adopted.

What will your day look like
Address and solve complex business issues using large amounts of data
Have a clear understanding of the end-to-end analytics journey as well as define and deliver the data roadmap
Implement a fact-based culture throughout the bank.
Support key data platform and/or data scheduling jobs to support insights delivery to key audiences (e.g. frontline, other tribes)
Lead, optimise, design and execute business interventions (customers and operational) to uplift customer engagement and business performance
Source data from a variety of sources to combine, synthesise and analyse to generate insights
Continuous generation, monitoring, presenting and conducting of 'fact-based' analysis of relevant customer insights to use at any time for the development and improvement of relevant and innovative propositions
Generate, monitor, present and analyse relevant customer insights, costs, benefits, and risks for customers, clients and cohort products; this could include business casing, what if scenarios and opportunity sizing & assessments
Develop tools and methods to fully profile customers and customer segments
Mentor and Develop Junior Data Analyst in the team

Proficient with Jupyter Notebooks
Experience in creating data products and dashboards in Tableau and or QlikSense
Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve the level of insight surfaced
Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
