**About the Company**
This NSW government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and innovative experience within the development of New South Wales government. Our client is looking for a Data Research Officer to research to data sources for a data warehouse to assist with policy development.
**About the Role**
- Undertake research to find and obtain new data sources for the development of the data warehouse.
- Ensure the data meets and fits the needs of the required key data areas
- Find and engage with the key point of contacts in the organisation who owns the sourced data and determine whether it needs to be purchased
- Assess sourced data and determine what the data is, how it works to assist with requirement mapping.
**About You**
- Basic understanding of Excel
- Previous government experience beneficial
- Familiar with LGA, SL4, post codes and statistical areas.
- Sound understanding of Data
- Previous experience in a research role
