It is an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue grow our game from grassroots to Grand Slam. A key pillar of this plan is identifying Australia's talented junior players and providing them with the right development opportunities to achieve their potential. Due to a recent promotion, we are looking for a highly organized and talented coach to join our team in the role of National Lead - Tours, Camps and Wellbeing.
Reporting to the Manager Tours and Camps, in this role you will support the strategic direction and overall management of national and international tours and camps. You will administer, coordinate, and deliver this integral development program, encompassing both on court coaching, life skills and wellbeing initiatives within this framework.
This position is required to travel both nationally and internationally between 15-20 weeks per year.
In this role you will:
- In collaboration with the Manager Tours and Camps develop clear strategic direction for tours and camps
- Lead the organisation and execution of tours and camps Including support staff, facilities, and content.
- Provide on-court coaching for athletes Including technical and tactical, match analysis preview and review.
- In collaboration with the National Wellbeing Manager and National Psychology Manager deliver on the strategic direction of the National Wellbeing program within the pathway segments.
- Act as they key point of contact for the tours and camps, ensuring the safety and well-being of all players.
What you will bring to this role:
- Club Pro Tennis qualification with experience coaching tennis at a high performance, national or international level
- Past playing experience at the elite international level (preferred).
- Experience working in player wellbeing or interest to learn.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong administration skills, including computer literacy, budgeting, record keeping and report writing.
- Strong presentation and communication skills both in one-on-one, group and public speaking situations.
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Imagination, Humility, Collaboration and Excellence.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
