We are committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve and inclusive culture where all employees feel valued, respected and connected.The RoleProvides high-level executive and administrative support to the Local Government Inspector and Inspectorate, including diary management, correspondence coordination and preparation of confidential documents.Manages correspondence and administrative workflows, monitors task progress and follow-up actions, and ensures information is handled in accordance with public sector confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements.Supports governance processes by preparing, formatting and distributing agendas, minutes, briefing notes and other documents for internal and external meetings, inquiries, and stakeholder engagements.Coordinates and prioritises requests and enquiries directed to the Inspector, including from the Minister's Office, the Department, and officers from the local government sector.Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication, timely responses and accurate information exchange on behalf of the Inspector.Assists with the coordination and processing of approvals, financial administration and purchasing in line with relevant procedures and delegations.Provides support in the use and maintenance of task tracking and workflow systems and contributes to the continuous improvement of executive support processes.Collates agenda, minutes actions and briefing papers for other meetings as required.Participates in the broader executive support network across the Department and supports transition planning activities associated with the establishment of the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety.Adheres to Work Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity and other legislative requirements in accordance with the parameters of the position.Demonstrate the Expected Behaviours of the leadership context for this role listed below.Perform any other duties as assigned or necessary to support the objectives of the Department and/or the Inspector.Undertake travel for business needs and work outside business hours as required.Benefits working for LGIRSFlexible working hours (with a standard 37.5 hour week)Flexible working arrangements (from home, the field and office)20 days of annual leave per year (which can be taken at half pay)17.5% leave loading paid annually on accrued annual leave15 days personal leave per year13 weeks long service leave every seven years (which can be taken at half pay)18 weeks paid parental leave (after 12 months of service)3 public holidays in lieu per year5 days reproductive leave per year10 days disability leave per year5 days cultural leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people per yearAbility to purchase additional annual leaveOpportunities for professional development, acting, shadowing and mentoringFormal training optionsStable work, job security, fair remuneration and 12% superannuation contributionsInterested?
