**The role**
As a Project Support Officer, you'll play a vital role in coordinating activities and providing administrative support to ensure the success of strategic initiatives, like the Fresh Start program, which aims to boost the local government workforce by 15%. By assisting with project plans, milestones, and stakeholder communication, your work will directly support councils in recruiting apprentices, trainees, and cadets for in-demand trades and professions.

You'll face challenges like balancing competing priorities and tight deadlines, all while liaising with government, non-government, and industry representatives. However, your efforts will help drive sustainable workforce development, ultimately strengthening local councils' capacity to deliver for their communities.

**Workforce Development Function** - For this role we are looking for someone who has exceptional customer experience skills as this role is customer centric with a strong focus on collaboration with local councils. **Who are OLG?**
The Office of Local Government is the NSW Government agency responsible for strengthening the sustainability, performance, integrity, transparency and accountability of the local government sector.

OLG has a policy, legislative, investigative and program focus in regulating the State's 128 local councils. The agency also works collaboratively with the local government sector to support local councils to deliver for their local communities.

OLG, which is part of the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, is the key adviser to the NSW Government on local government matters.
