**Technology Risk Manager (Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Compliance, Governance)**

Major Financial Services firm seeking a Technology Risk Manager (Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Compliance, Governance) to operate in a key influencing and thought leadership role to build divisional risk maturity and increase leadership capability for risk-based decision making across various business areas.

You will act as an advisor and first point of contact for Portfolio Heads, EGMs, and EMs on risk frameworks, operational risk, and project risk related matters, as well as lead the provisioning of operational and project risk consulting services to ensure policy/framework compliance.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee and advise on risk management activities to manage the improvement of technology control environment
- Provide advice and thought leadership to ensure successful design and implementation of risk strategies.
- Work with key business stakeholders to deliver expert guidance on technology risk and resilience best practices, governance, and effective controls.
- Review and challenge the output from risk frameworks and standards providing visibility of policy compliance, risk appetite statement compliance, implementation status, and health.
- Work with key stakeholder to ensure internal and external audits are carried out effectively and agreed recommendations and actions are implemented.
- Identify, monitor, escalate and log incidents, trends and emerging risks into the IRIIS risk platform ensuring that assessment of impact and likelihood is carried out with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee compliance with frameworks, polices, and standards.

**Key Skills**
- 6+ years' experience working in the Financial Services industry.
- 8+ years risk and compliance management, or related experience.
- Broad experience in technology risk related concepts and processes.
- Ability to develop effective and trusted relationships with all stakeholders and influence behaviours.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, interpretation of requirements into business standards.
- Understanding of risk management concepts, and supporting frameworks and standards.
- Working understanding of governance concepts such as delegations of authority, legal, and regulatory compliance and project/program/portfolio management.
- Knowledge of technology industry best practices for IT development, operations, and support.
