The Emerging Business team's mission is to decarbonise the way Australians live, work and move

The Key purpose of this role (and team)
- As a Commercialisation Lead, you report directly to the Commercialisation Principal within the broader Strategy and Venture Design chapter. You work closely with the strategy analysts and entrepreneurs in residence and will be responsible for leading commercial analysis, including business model design and investment casing, articulating the key aspects of business models and key uncertainties to project sponsors and around the broader organisation. You will help us identify valuable initiatives worth buying, building, or partnering for.
- Working closely with Growth Principals in eMobility, Home Energy Transition and other portfolios to help shape the strategy and achieve strong commercial outcomes.

You'd make a 10x impact on our team by- Support initiative leads and growth principals in the eMobility and Home Energy Transition portfolios with the development of financial business case models and messaging of key insights to a diverse group of stakeholders, including those without specialist finance knowledge.-
- Articulate, in plain language, how a proposed business model will work and how the value will be created.-
- Maintaining simple to use, yet robust modelling templates and assumptions repositories.-
- Develop strong relationships with counterparts across AGL to share insights, best practices, and stay up to date on key developments in other areas of the business.-
- Conduct desktop research to gather assumptions, insights, and understanding of new and adjacent industries that are relevant to initiatives within the Emerging Business team.-
- Create tools, templates, and reports to help initiative leads and the Emerging Business team to plan, track and monitor the financial performance of the initiatives.-
- Contribute to and provide feedback on presentations, showcases and other communications for initiatives and opportunity areas from a financial/commercial perspective.-
- Participate in the exploration of opportunities, pilots, or other activities to progress the development of solutions when appropriate and as required by the team, lending creativity to the approach and artefacts used.- Things we think will help you thrive in this role:
