Sporting the dual crown of Australia's oldest dairy and Australia's most innovative dairy, Brownes Dairy has an opportunity within our Engineering Department for an Automation Technician.

**The Role***

This role plays an integral part in maintaining a high technical level of skilled Automation and

Electrical support to the Brownes manufacturing business.

**Role Responsibilities***
- Provide leadership and technical support to Brownes Operations
- Provide Electrical, and Automation support to Brownes Operations assisting with Breakdowns
- Provide technical support to process control to produce dairy, juice, and yoghurt products
- Develop continual improvement processes to reduce downtime
- Assist with developing the optimum spares levels for the site
- Work on Capital projects as required.
- Relationship management of equipment suppliers
- Keep abreast of current and new technology applicable to the business.

**Requirements**:

- You must have full working rights in Australia
- Preferred Associate Diploma in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in a variety of PLC, SCADA, Servo Drives, Communication systems, Instrumentation
- Preferred experience with Citect SCADA. Schneider, AB, OMRON, Siemens PLC and HM
- MS Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong numeracy skills.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) or similar industries
- There will be a requirement to work flexible hours and be on call as and when required to give maximum efficiency and uptime to the manufacturing equipment.
