The greenkeeper is responsible for maintaining and preparing the course for members and visitors.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious greenkeeper to enhance and develop the facility, to ensure a good playing surface and ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and an enjoyable experience to golfers.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of the golf courseRoleMowing fairways/course Maintaining greens, raking bunkers, moving tee-markers, and cutting holes when requiredMaintaining surrounding gardensMaintain and repair equipment when requiredIrrigation of course, greens, trees and plantsApply mulch, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides SkillsAbility to work as part of a team and independently.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Proficient in the use of Grounds maintenance machinery.Have a can-do attitude with a flexible approach to work and prioritising tasks.Ability to work outdoors in most weather conditions and carry out heavy lifting.Good sense of humour.RequirementsHorticulture certificateQualification in greenkeeping will be an advantageAbility to work in a team environment or as an individualMaintained and operate safely in accordance with associated manuals and risk assessmentsCarry out all duties having due regard for the health and safety of yourself and others, in accordance with Health and Safety Policy.High professional and personal standards and have a commitment to continuous personal development.Hours of workTo be discussed with successful applicant/candidatePlease note only short listed candidates will be contactedAPPLY NOW
