This opportunity has arisen via a project for Engeny, and we are seeking a highly experienced approvals specialist with strong local regulatory connections and legislative process understanding to lead this exciting and ground-breaking project for the Perth team.
You will also deliver outstanding development and leadership, working collaboratively with the wider Environmental Discipline to grow the Environmental Management and Approvals discipline in Western Australia.Project manage the environmental management and approvals package for Engeny on the project.Coordinate environmental approvals and compliance deliverables on the project for the client.Use a risk-based framework and operational experience to drive improved, practical and sustainable outcomes for the client.Manage and drive quality project outcomes for our client that are on budget and aligned with schedule.Support the well-being, development, and resourcing of team members on the project.Participate in client management and business development and wider strategy.Play an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training, and businessAbout YouYou are looking to be a part of and contribute to a high performing culture on an exciting project opportunity for our WA office.A tertiary engineering or science degree (essential) with 10 + years relevant experience, in Western Australia, in a similar role within industry, consulting or government.A high level of knowledge and understanding of Western Australian and Federal environmental legislation, including a high degree of familiarity with the Mining Act 1978 and Environmental Protection Act 1986.Strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence.Prominent level of technical skills and experience in report writing technical review, project management, and the management of junior specialists.Site operational experience desirable.Preparation of Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Part IV & V approvals, and Commonwealth approvals experience essentialThe BenefitsPerth CBD location, with remote working embraced.Flexible working hours with the opportunity to work in a full time or part time capacity.Overtime TOIL allowances.Generous learning and development framework with structured career development and dedicated individual training / conference allowances.Excellent remuneration and suite of benefits available.A professional senior mentor for all interested staff, onboarding buddy program and access to an Employee Assistance Program.Opportunity to work across resources, private and government sectors.Great cultural environment where teamwork and camaraderie are promoted and valued.Paid parental leave.Supportive leadership based on openness.Work in an environment where you are supported and encouraged to be your best and work to your strengths amongst a dynamic team.We offer a competitive remuneration, for the right candidate.
