Camp Kiah conducts a therapeutic based camp program for young people aged 6-17 years.

We are always looking for fun, caring and some-what responsible staff to make sure that we are able to create an atmosphere that promotes engaged relationship formation as the foundation to promote fun, playful and safe experiences.

We are located in Wallan. All our programs run out on location here, we have onsite activities and base our group and 1:1 work on site.

Your goal as a Camp Leader is to assist with creating a fun and safe environment where the young people of Camp Kiah are able to express themselves and feel a sense of belonging whilst always being treated with respect and understanding. Camp Leaders report directly to the Camp Kiah Program Coordinators.

Core responsibilities
- Engage with young people on both a group and individual level
- Lead or Support any designated activities
- Support in-camp meal preparations
- Complete administration and reporting responsibilities
- Ensure young people are supervised at all times
- Sleep in the designated area
- Set rules / boundaries for the young people to follow and support young people to adhere
- Sit with young people in times of self-reflection
- Adhere to the camp program and guidelines at all times
- Facilitate transport of young people to and from camp

Employment Requirements
- Drivers license
- A valid WWCC, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check / willing and eligible to obtain one prior to commencement
- First Aid
- Flexible availability - applicants must be willing to work weekends and overnight shifts

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $32.73 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Youth Work: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
