**THE ROLE**

As the Program Coordinator you will be responsible for delivering our newest Junior RISE program. Junior Rise is a supported high school well-being and transition program for young people in years 6 and 7 who are located in the City of Playford.

Key to this position is the requirement to work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders (agencies and schools) to develop individualised learning goals that will support the students to build resilience and increase their confidence to engage and learn.

In addition to working with the young people, you will also provide support to the families, ensuring they receive a greater understanding of the young person's emotional experiences and teaching specific skills that can assist them in being supportive and empathetic.

You're passionate about working with and supporting young people, you see the unique potential and perspective that they bring and you deeply understand the relationship between school, community and family in bringing out their full potential and realising opportunities. Your experience and capabilities include:

- The ability to facilitate change with young people and their families in a strengths-based way that encourages them to build relationships, develop self-responsibility, self-esteem and confidence.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating education and community projects, programs and resources. You will have excellent case management, and communication skills.
- Working with education systems and collaboratively in school environments.
- Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Building rapport and trust easily, and are sensitive to the issues of confidentiality, gender, race, cultural background, disability, age and sexuality.
- Working autonomously with a self-set standard of quality and achievement.
- Sound computer skills including data entry and Microsoft packages.

**Qualifications**

Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in education, youth work, social work, social sciences or similar is required.

Training in relevant child protection legislation.

A current working with children check and driver's license (and willingness to undergo a Whitelion Police Check)
