Strategic Academic Leader Opportunity
This is a senior role at the Faculty of Medicine & Health with overall responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the School of Population Health. The position supports the Dean through the development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning offerings and research programs within the School and across the Faculty.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the School of Population Health, driving growth and excellence in education and research.
Support the Dean in developing and implementing cutting-edge teaching, learning, and research initiatives.
Align and integrate the School's activities with the Faculty and partners to achieve shared goals.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and research within the School, aligned with the Faculty and UNSW strategic objectives.
Lead a team with direct reports, including academic staff and the School Manager.
Requirements:
A PhD in a relevant discipline area, demonstrating an outstanding record of research achievements and publications.
A track record of exceptional leadership and management experience in a higher education or healthcare setting.
Demonstrated expertise in teaching and learning, with notable contributions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Strong potential for innovation in education and program development, with a focus on improving student outcomes.
Experience engaging with key stakeholders, including national and international professional organizations and government.
Demonstrated capacity for leading research, education delivery, and health/public health system change management.
