Are you a skilled maintenance professional with leadership experience? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy mentoring a team? We have an exciting Maintenance Leading Hand to join our team at our Arndell Park facility.

**About the role**

As a Maintenance Leading Hand, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of plant equipment during the PM shift. Leading a team of skilled maintenance staff, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery operates at peak efficiency. With a strong focus on safety and effectiveness, you will guide and support your team to deliver high-quality maintenance outcomes while fostering a culture of excellence and adherence to safety standards.

Your new role will include:

- Managing the maintenance program (SAP) that includes preventative maintenance, correct breakdowns and negligence
- Completing all required documentation and data management
- Ensuring timely responses to work requests and allocate resources appropriately
- Identifying vendors for the purchase of parts, negotiate on prices and place part orders as required
- Identifying trends in regular maintenance issues and report to Maintenance Manager
- Attending to any call outs and assist in breakdowns to ensure plant is operational throughout production daily
- Liaising with Production Coordinator to ensure requests are completed within appropriate timeframe. Escalate matters to Management if cannot be completed
- Supervising required contractors

**About you**

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand who enjoys a varied role where no two days are the same. You are an excellent communicator and possess strong decision-making skills. Your ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes will see you thrive in this fast-paced role

To be successful in the role you will bring:

- Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a maintenance team
- Experience utilising a computerised Maintenance Management System, ideally SAP
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to think quickly, clearly and logically whilst meeting deadlines
- Contractor Management Experience
- Availability for Weekend's and be on Call for After Hrs Callouts
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Previous experience within an FMCG production environment is desirable, but not essential
