Northern Rivers Community Gateway has been delivering the Rainbow Region Kids (RRK) OSHC program for many years. Our well-established, accredited child-centred program provides before school care, after school care, and vacation care across various locations in the Northern Rivers region.
We're currently seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coordinators to join our team, one based at our Wollongbar service and one based at our Alstonville service.
In this role, you'll develop valuable skills in building strong relationships with children and families, while helping to deliver engaging, active programs.

Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations at the service, ensuring a fun, safe, and enriching environment for school-aged children.
Develop and facilitate engaging programs that include sports, games, cooking, art, and craft, catering to individual and group needs.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.
Supervise and mentor educators, junior employees, and students to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) OR 3+ years of experience working with school-aged children
Ability to work independently and supervise groups of up to 15 children
Experience in leading and mentoring staff in an education setting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of childhood development, programming, and regulations (e.g., NQF, My Time Our Place Framework)
Ability to use digital and cloud-based systems for administration and reporting
