The Project Planning and Corridor Management unit is responsible for strategic transport outcomes by leading transport planning, options analysis, preliminary/concept design and business case development for transport infrastructure projects within the region.
**Your new role**
As part of the above team, this role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks, which are highlighted below, and requires consultation with a number of customers. Under guidance of the Senior Advisor (Property), accountabilities of the Undergraduate (Property/Regional Planning) include:
- Assisting in undertaking activities in respect to property resumptions, early acquisitions, native title, disposal of land, tenure rectification, planning protection, leasing and maintenance matters, and landowners consent agreements.
- Undertaking preliminary research and analysis, gathering and providing information and recommendations, and escalating complex issues to the supervisor.
- Preparing memos, briefs, letters and other correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks to support the Property team to ensure successful completion of activities within time, quality, cost and stakeholders' expectations.
- Liaising, consulting and maintaining effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Recent graduate or 2nd, 3rd or 4th year enrolment in a relevant bachelor's degree (urban and regional planning, property valuation, environmental or town planning) or in another profession relevant to this role.
- Current holder of a Class C driver's licence.
- Required to undergo employment screening (for example a criminal history check) as part of our selection process.
- OH&S Construction Induction (white card or equivalent) will be required by the successful applicant.
