Job Title

An undergraduate role in property and regional planning is available on a part-time basis.

  • Location: Gold Coast
  • Contract duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
About the Role

This position involves working closely with a senior advisor to contribute to successful execution of property development and regional planning initiatives.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Providing support in carrying out tasks related to property resumptions, early acquisitions, native title, land disposal, tenure rectification, planning protection, leasing, maintenance matters, and landowners' consent agreements.
  2. Conducting initial research and analysis, gathering and presenting information and recommendations, and escalating complex issues to the supervisor.
  3. Drafting memos, briefs, letters, and other communication for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Assisting with various administrative duties to aid the Property team in meeting project objectives within specified timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
  5. Engaging in effective communication, consultation, and relationship management with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Recent graduate or current student pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree in Property, Urban Planning, Regional Planning, or another related field.
  • Current holder of a Class C driver's license.
  • OH&S Construction Induction (white card or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with ability to gather and synthesize complex information.
  • Knowledge of property development and regional planning concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, zoning regulations, and land use policies.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
