Our client is seeking a talented and experienced **Lighting Artist** to join their team on a freelance basis. Based in Sydney, this is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled artist to contribute to dynamic, high-quality projects for film and TV. If you thrive in a creative and fast-paced environment and have a strong command of **Houdini Solaris** and/or **Katana**, our client would love to hear from you.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create, refine, and deliver high-quality lighting setups and renders for production assets and sequences.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet creative and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot and optimize lighting workflows to meet production deadlines.
- Ensure the visual continuity and consistency of lighting across all assets and sequences.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Lighting Artist in the VFX industry.
- Proficiency in **Houdini Solaris** and/or **Katana** is essential.
- Strong understanding of rendering engines and pipeline workflows.
- A solid grasp of colour, light, and composition.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
