Manufacturing Manager

**About this opportunity**

Contract Manufacturing is underway in the execution of a 5-year strategy with a focus on improve performance, drive sustainable growth, build leading capability and engagement.

This position is primarily responsible for the efficient and effective management of our Warehouse operations. While following health and safety guidelines, your focus will be to coordinate receiving and dispatch, raw product and finished goods storage operations, and work towards improving daily productivity as a team.

The role reports to the Site Operations Manager and liaises closely with all other functions of the business unit and externally to ensure a high-quality level of service is provided in a timely manner to internal and external customers.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:
**Main Accountabilities**
- Managing all facets of warehouse operations and day to day stock management of raw materials and finished stock
- Maintaining and promoting a clean and efficient working environment and following health and safety standards
- Developing implementing, and maintaining systems associated with efficient stock control
- Maintaining stock records in trade software program.
- Developing and maintain team members and nurture a high-performance culture
- Supervising and setting up the warehouse environment including processes to enable productivity and growth
- Managing staff and staffing levels to allow for an effective warehousing function
- Undertake routine stocktakes across all branches.
- Receiving and dispatching goods including loading and unloading
- Ensuring careful packing of orders to ensure clients receive overall quality of products, service, and delivery as expected
- Operating forklifts and other machinery to pick and store stock where necessary
- Liaising with internal customers in relation to order requirements and raw materials production delivery timing in a fast-paced environment.
- Liaising with Sales to coordinate customer delivery on-time.
- Using continuous improvement techniques to drive warehousing improvements.
- Working with safety function to assist with achieving operational safety standards.
- Producing Weekly/Monthly Quality Reports and communicate these to the business and relevant stakeholders.

**Your skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

- Working/functional knowledge of SAP system
- Forklift license
- Demonstrated experience managing teams in a fast paced warehouse environment
- Experience as a leader or supervisor
