Reporting to the Works Team Leader, this role will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of AGL's Eildon Power Station and Hydro assets, situated North East of Melbourne.

In safeguarding the technical, safety, environmental and commercial integrity over the asset life cycle, this role will have a key focus in meeting the required production specification in terms of plant availability, quality and quantity of electricity sold.

What you'll be doing- Performing preventative, planned, fault rectification and break down maintenance of assets- Installation and commissioning of plant- Preparing, receiving, issuing, and cancelling authorities whilst ensuring compliance with Safe Access Rules, including isolation, restoration and operation of plant- Preparing work records and reports as required, including input into SAP, reviewing and updating documents, drawings and procedures- Supervising service providers / contractors to ensure work is conducted to standard and in a safe manner- Supporting other trades in routine and breakdown tasks- Fulfilling availability/on call requirements based off a call roster- Overtime as required by the business- Ensuring all Organisational Health, Safety and Environment policies and standards are adhered to- Demonstrating the AGL Values by acting in the best interests of AGL and working together across the business to create the best overall results and decisions.

About You

With a safety-first approach you will be experienced working across a range of tasks within a heavy industry environment. You will work within a small, dynamic team and will also partner with our mechanical team to conduct high quality work in a timely manner.

What you'll bring to the table

You must have high level communication and time management skills along with:
- An A Grade Electrical Trade qualification- First aid and HSE training- Code of Practice - Electrical Safety (Blue book) (Qualified High Voltage Operator) Confined Space Training preferred- Cert III in Instrumentation and Control also preferred- High level analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve plant faults and issues- A strong and positive attitude towards a safe workplace is critical- A collaborative and inclusive work style to work in a diverse team- Previous experience working with gas turbine assets or in the power generation industry will also be well regarded.
