**Client**

**Role**

Redpath are working closely with this business in identifying a suitably aligned Commercial Manager to support one of South Australia's most important, mixed-use master planned community projects. And will also have coverage over several A Grade Commercial projects currently in construction or development across Adelaide CBD, Melbourne's Collins Square and the ACT.

This position will provide overall direction and leadership to the contract management team responsible for the delivery of a multi-billion dollar pipeline and plays a crucial role in providing advice, briefings and the maintenance of relationships with key head contractors, local councils and community groups.
- Oversee the financial management of construction projects, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Review and negotiate contracts, including contractor agreements and supplier contracts.
- Manage variations and change orders, including the assessment of cost impacts and negotiation with clients and stakeholders.
- Continue to maintain and develop the commercial strategy and oversee the effective implementation of required commercial outcomes on tenders and projects.
- Oversee consistency in utilisation and improvement of construction management systems.
- Monitor project performance, highlight key risks and opportunities and work with project teams to implement mitigation strategies.

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business or other associated disciplines
- 10 years' + experience in commercial, financial and contract administration
- Proven experience in leading commercial solution development for large construction projects and tenders
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse complex financial and contractual information and present it, orally and/or in writing, for senior management to understand and make sound decisions.
