The role:As Sales Manager for the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026TM, you will play a key role in driving hospitality and ticket sales for one of the most prestigious women's football tournaments in Asia. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and ensuring revenue targets are achieved while delivering an exceptional customer experience.This is a fixed-term contract role for six months offered under an independent contractor arrangement consistent with Australian market practice. The position provides flexibility and a clear scope of responsibilities aligned with the tournament's timeline.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the sales Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but not are limited to:Develop, lead, and inspire a culture of results, personal & professional growth, and collaborationCommercialization of Hospitality services, diversifying the client portfolio into high value sectors in accordance with the company's commercial strategy, increasing the contribution of international customers to meet the objectives of international expansion, growth and profitability of the company.Lead the planning and implementation of all outbound sales efforts, including lead scoring & assignment, product launches, campaign design & management, and sales center events for all premium leased productsDesign and direct the B2B prospecting strategies to cultivate new sales leads, execute outbound premium campaigns, and surpass revenue targetsCommercialize high-end product to VIP clients, C-Level executives and/or key decision makers of corporations, and high net worth individuals via outbound sales calls, face-to-face appointments, and presentations.Execute and lead dynamic sales presentations and special events for current and prospective clients.Collaborate with the CRM team to maintain accurate customer and prospective customer records in our database and distribute leads in an efficient and strategic manner.Provide consistent reporting information by maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and overall updates of sales pacing, outbound metrics, touchpoint campaigns, and event recaps.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Bachelor's Degree required - Business, Marketing or similar degree (B.A.) from a four-year college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.Minimum of 3+ years in sales experience, preferably in premium seating in the sports & hospitality industry. Experience in sports and hospitality will be highly valued.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.Skilled in setting and running sales meetings, with ability to effectively pitch and present premium products.Deep knowledge of the corporate sector and demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the market.Must be able to work collaboratively across all departments and have a team-first mentality.Language skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
