About the Role:PHE Engineering are hiring an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join the Snowy 2.0 expansion – one of Australia's largest and most iconic infrastructure projects.
You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing electrical engineering design and implementation, supporting the build of a 27km underground tunnel, HV reticulation systems, and a new underground hydroelectric power station.This long-term position offers an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into a senior role and make a significant impact on a nationally important project.What You'll Do:Lead the design and implementation of HV/LV electrical reticulation systems and construction power infrastructureWork closely with the project lead to deliver engineering milestones across multiple stagesUse AutoCAD, PowerCAD or ETAP to produce and review electrical designsOversee temporary power systems, manage completion systems, and interface with site contractorsUse your engineering and construction knowledge to dynamically solve problems faced during constructionReport to the Engineering Manager and interface with the clients construction and commissioning teamAbout You:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)RPEQ registered or eligible (preferred)Practical site knowledge of HV/LV systems, temporary/construction powerExperience with large-scale infrastructure projects ($5M–$10M+)Completion system experience (e.g., PIMS, HEXAGON equivalent) highly desirableTrade background (e.g., Electrician) is a plus but not essentialStrong commitment to project delivery, collaboration, and problem-solvingAbout Us:PHE has 50 years' experience in providing electrical and instrumentation operation support services to clients throughout Australia in a range of industries including:Mining,Hydropower generation,Remote gas power generations plantsPulp and paper manufacturingTimber processing industriesMajor projects we have been involved in:Snowy Hydro - Tumut 3 Power Station Controls & Protection UpgradeSnowy Hydro - Murray 1 Power Station Technology UpgradeSnowy Hydro - Tumut 1 & Tumut 2 Power Station Transformer and Line Protection Upgrades.Newcrest Mining - Cadia East Underground Panel Cave 2 East CrusherCadia Valley Operations, Orange Newcrest MiningCON 1 T3 Hydrofloat ProjectOz Minerals - CarrapateenaWhy Join PHE?
