Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking applicants interested in pursuing a career in Environmental sustainability to join our Project-based Civil Engineering Teams. As an Environmental Cadet you'll be working closely with our environmental team to support our projects in Southeast Queensland.
We see our young professionals as future industry leaders and aim to give you the maximum hands-on exposure to environmental related aspects on real construction projects while you complete your degree.
**You will be expected to**:

- Assist in the identification and assessment of project environmental risks
- Assisting with ongoing environmental compliance across multiple sites
- Assist with investigations into significant environmental incidents
- Assist with the closeout of environmental issues
- A high percentage of time in the field working with the team to achieve positive environmental outcomes
- To be eligible for this role, applicants must be completing a degree that is environmental related.

**What you're good at**:

- A positive working attitude and a willingness to learn about how the environmental field within the civil construction industry.
- A passion for science, sustainability and environmental legislation
- Willingness to undertake site work i.e. water treatment, water quality monitoring, dust monitoring, vibration monitoring, attended noise monitoring, site inspection etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders' concerns
