Overview

Cadet Documentation Technician (Brisbane) at GHD. This is a rare opportunity to kick-start your drafting/design career with a diverse organisation, dedicated to the development of our people and their careers. A position is available in our Brisbane office within the Roads Business Group.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings using AutoCAD and/or other 3D design/drafting software in the field of engineering.
  • Collaborating with senior team members on various technical tasks and taking guidance in support of your role.
  • Developing knowledge of GHD's Digital Design Manual and other relevant systems, tools, and processes.
  • Developing knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
  • Attending TAFE or University and maintaining requirements of a Traineeship or Cadetship, which will include a combination of work-based training and formal training.
What you will bring to the role
  • QCE (or equivalent) completion with strong academic results in Mathematics and English.
  • Experience in AutoCAD desirable but not essential.
  • Strong desire to build a rewarding career as a professional drafter/designer.
  • Well-developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills coupled with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Genuine interest in technical drawing and engineering.
