**About the Role**
An opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our Vegetation Team to provide irrigation installation and maintenance services for sportsgrounds, turfed areas and gardens within public reserves, parks and recreation areas.

**What you will be doing**:

- Follow maintenance activity specifications to complete a variety of tasks associated with the installation and maintenance of irrigations systems located in parks, gardens and sporting venues within allocated timeframes
- Installation of new irrigation systems
- Maintenance of existing irrigation systems
- Irrigation of turf and garden areas in accordance with horticultural practices
- Installation and maintenance of surface and sub-surface drainage in turfed and garden areas
- Minor repairs and maintenance works on parks infrastructure

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or equivalent trade certificate
- Formal qualification relevant to urban irrigation systems
- Confined Spaces Gas test & Issue Permit Licence
- First Aid & CPR certificate
- Chemical Safety - AQF3 Accreditation
- Confined Spaces - Operate Breathing Apparatus Licence
- Confined Space Rescue Licence
- Gas Test Atmosphere Licence
- NSW Drivers Licence (Class LR)
- Oxygen Fuel Equipment & Handling Licence
- White Card - General Construction Induction Licence

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0095 Salary: Up to $65K + Superannuation + To and From Council Vehicle
