Home Job Info Education Support Employee Role Description/Criteria The Learning Support Partner (LSP) role involves working as part of a team with Learning Enhancement Teachers (LETs) other LSPs, the Learning Diversity Leaders and classroom teachers to provide support for students with diverse needs.
The successful applicant will support student learning under the direction of teachers, working with individual and small groups of students to assist them with their educational programs and personalised learning goals.LSPs are responsible for:maintaining the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care, alongside all staff in our schoolbuilding positive relationships with children and assisting in creating learning environments where all are valued, engaged, and challenged working collaboratively to support the implementation of personalised learning strategies and programs as identified in students' Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)facilitating small group tasks/intervention groups, with support from teaching and/or allied health staffsupporting with the provision of a learning environment that supports students' sensory, regulation, processing and language needsengaging in ongoing professional learning and committing to ongoing improvement working collaboratively with a variety of teachers, allied health staff and learning support staffrecording adjustments and program notes in line with NCCD evidentiary requirementsdemonstrating an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with studentssupporting with school and extracurricular events, as appropriate to the rolesupporting the Catholic ethos of the schoolKey Selection CriteriaPlease elaborate on your experiences and strengths in the following areas: 1) The successful applicant will: have a demonstrated commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children with diverse needshave experience supporting primary students and possess the skills and abilities necessary to engage and empower students with diverse needs in educational experiences2) The successful applicant will: display effective communication and organisational skills be self-motivated and have the ability to be flexible, proactive, and resourceful to ensure optimal student support support and embrace a positive, collegial, team-based approach to student learning3) The successful applicant will: have a commitment to Catholic education have a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Record Checkhave completed a Certificate IV in Education Support or have completed one year of an undergraduate primary teaching courseThe successful applicants' salary, benefits and conditions of employment are implemented according to the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement, 2022.Application ProcedureApplications should be made in writing and forwarded via email to the Principal, Nathan Owen ************************************* or ************************************* Applications should contain the following:Application for Employment at St. Catherine of Siena formA Cover LetterA Curriculum Vitae that includes 3 nominated referees, including the current employer.Response to the Key Selection CriteriaApplications close: at 5.00pm on Friday 12th October 2025St Catherine of Siena School Community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.
