**Position Information**:
Marie Bashir Public School has a student population of 387. Physical facilities include air-conditioned classrooms with interactive whiteboards, school auditorium, canteen, uniform shop, three portable computer labs, library and Before and After school care facilities on the school premises.

The school aims to provide in partnership with parents and the wider community, a quality education so that all students are able to reach their full potential within a caring learning environment. The school community takes pride in the pursuit of equity, excellence and well-being. Our school promotes successful learners, confident leaders, ceative thinkers and active and informed citizens.

There is a strong focus on literacy, mathematics, Science, Technology and Art. Our resident artist provides opportunities for all students to explore a wide range of media. Our school offers performance opportunities in music, choir, dance, orchestra and public speaking. Additional programs include the use of minilit and multilit and literacy and numeracy learning support funded by the Parents' and Citizens' Association. Student learning is further enhanced through the teaching of: technology, public speaking and debating, specialist music and art instruction and the Student Representative Council.

Marie Bashir Public School strives to deliver an engaging and differentiated curriculum to improve educational outcomes of all students through student voice.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Infants and Primary (K-6) with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality literacy and numeracy programs with the use of data to inform differentiated teaching and learning programs.

Evidence of excellent classroom management to develop a positive and inclusive learning environment to enhance the engagement and wellbeing of students.

Highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate, build, and maintain effective partnerships with students, teachers and parents.

Skills and or experience in delivering Digital Technology programs across the school.

Demonstrated capacity to enrich student learning opportunities beyond the classroom through leading whole school activities such as public speaking, choir and ICT.
