**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **HSEQ Advisor **to join our Projects Team on a **12-month maternity leave contract **. This pivotal role is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of BGIS' Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Environmental Management systems, ensuring compliance and enhancing safety across our projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all statutory and contractual obligations are met, maintaining WHS compliance with AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001, and environmental system compliance with AS/NZS ISO 14001.
- Manage and maintain BGIS processes, procedures, and records on the BGIS intranet and the client's online WHSE services platform.
- Oversee BGIS action management using the client compliance system (Riskware), ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Handle the contractor management process for BGIS Managed Services, including hazard, near miss, and incident reporting.
- Lead internal and external WHSE audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Provide training on WHSE management to staff and contractors, promoting a culture of safety.
- Contribute to the weekly, monthly, and quarterly WHSE reports for both BGIS and clients, and actively participate in contractor and client WHSE forums.
- Investigate WHSE incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure all stakeholders comply with WHSE policies and procedures, fostering a safe working environment across all projects.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in a HSEQ advisory role within the construction, facilities management, or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of WHSE legislation and best practices, with experience in AS/NZS 4801, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver training and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Hands-on experience managing contractor compliance, incident reporting, and audit processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or similar disciplines.
