**The Role**
We are seeking an experienced Estate Appraisal Assessor to complete physical appraisals in accordance with the Defence Estate Appraisal Policy including estimation of work recommendations. The role will Provide support within the region for other Estate Appraisal inputs, such as Fire Safety Surveys, Heritage Management Plans, Range Safety Inspections, and other technical consultancies. This position will see you in a full-time position based at Woomera.

**Position include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist with the preparation for Desktop appraisals and processing of outputs within the region in accordance with the Defence Estate Appraisal Policy.
- Complete inspection of Asbestos hazards within the region in accordance with Defence Asbestos Management Plan.
- Prepare work recommendations for submission into the Estate Works Plan for the region.
- Assist with ensuring that the Defence asset database is updated to verify estate information is an accurate reflection of the Estate.
- Provide support within the region for other Estate Appraisal inputs, such as Fire Safety Surveys, Heritage Management Plans, Range Safety Inspections, and other technical consultancies.
- Conduct off cycle estate appraisals upon request.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Ventia personnel across all services lines to ensure that estate appraisal considers all aspects of the Defence Estate

**Skills and Experience**
- Technical background suited to understanding of estate appraisal activities. Asset condition assessment experience is highly regarded
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Sound knowledge of asset management principles.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex engineering design documents.
- Good level of computer skills including SAP MS Word and Excel
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's licence
- You must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1
