About the role
Catholic Regional College North Keilor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Diversity Specialist to join our dynamic team.
This full-time role will be based in Keilor North, Victoria and will play a crucial part in supporting the academic and personal growth of our diverse student population.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with diverse needs, including those with learning difficulties, physical or intellectual disabilities, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) requirements
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure a holistic, student-centred approach to learning
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, tailoring teaching strategies to meet their unique needs
Monitor student progress, analyse data, and adjust learning plans accordingly
Liaise with external agencies and service providers to coordinate additional support for students
Contribute to the development and review of the school's inclusion and diversity policies
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in inclusive education
What we're looking for
A teaching qualification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and a recognised qualification in Special Education or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience working as a specialist teacher or learning support professional in a secondary school setting
In-depth knowledge of teaching strategies and learning support programs for students with diverse needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on personalised, student-centred approaches
Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting the personal and academic growth of all students
