As our Principal Engagement Officer, Strategic Engagement and Partnerships, you will:

- Contribute to the strategic planning of engagement and partnership initiatives and other communication campaigns for projects across Biosecurity Queensland.
- Lead and participate in the development, implementation and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement activities including regular engagement campaigns and activities as well as responsive engagement activities arising from events such as biosecurity incidents.
- Coordinate research, analysis, and evaluation of engagement activities to ensure that activities are tailored to specific requirements to maximize effectiveness and ensure that actions to address any gaps are undertaken.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure projects align with broader strategic and operational engagement activities and are responsive to changing circumstances.
- Coordinate preparation of communication and engagement materials and activities such as forums, training, reports, general correspondence, submissions, and briefing notes related to program activities.
- Lead the delivery of key partnership projects that span multiple stakeholder groups at a state and national level.
- Supervise and coordinate officers as necessary to maximize efficiency and consistency of processes and activities, optimal time management and adherence to departmental policies and guidelines.
- Lead emergency responses from the state emergency response centre or as directed by the position's manager.
- Tertiary qualifications in communication, engagement or other relevant experience are highly desirable.
