Your Role
You will develop the Chubb public relations, corporate social media, executive, and employee communications across Australia & New Zealand, shaping internal and external messaging and corporate communications campaigns to position Chubb a leader in the A&NZ market.
You will have a high degree of initiative, an ability to influence non-marketing stakeholders within the business and have exceptional written and communciation skills. They will quickly establish an excellent understanding of the insurance market, the news cycle and sentiment towards financial services and Chubb's brand value proposition.
No two days will look the same in this role and you'll need to flex both reactive and proactive muscles. Importantly, you'll need to be comfortable working as an individual contributor, generating and executing communication iniatitives designed to both protect and build Chubb's reputation externally and internally.
**Your Responsibilities**:
Working with the Head of Brand, Marketing & Communications and the broader A&NZ Marketing team, build the annual external and internal communications plan for A&NZ aligned to Chubb's key audiences, business objectives and global brand & communications strategy.
Specific areas of responsibilities would include executive communications, people communications, townhall strategy and messaging, industry communications, community communications and crisis communications.
Identifies key journalists, influencers & gatekeepers to educate them about Chubb
Leverage on & offline channels to further the comprehension of the Chubb brand story
Innovative approach to content types - thinking beyond the written word to consider visual, video, audio, in-person experiences and more as possible channels
Oversee the localisation of global and regional external and intenral commuinication initiatives for A&NZ markets, collaborating with colleagues overseas to ensure the needs to A&NZ markets in relation to communications strategy and audience needs are clearly communicated
Ensure Chubb's brand reputation is proactivley managed, identifying and mitigting any reputational risks as required
Develop assets, templates, processes and training to ensure A&NZ colleagues are able to support both proactive & any necessary re-active activities (eg crisis management)
Ensure all confidential information, such as organizational announcements are handled properly and with discretion
Briefing and management of PR, content agencies and/or other agency partners as required
Ensure all activities are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
**Qualifications**:
Your Skills & Experience
5-10 years of experience working in a communications agency, publishing/journalism or a client-side communications marketing role
A bachelor's degree in communications, PR, Journalism or related field
Experience inspiring and leading teams through market transitions or transformations
The gravitas and credibility to influence and give counsel to executives
An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic
Outstanding writing, editorial and storytelling skills
A 'can-do' attitude, able to roll up sleeves and deliver
A track-record of being able to select the right message, in the right channel, for the right audience
Excellent social media and internal communications understanding
A strong network of media and industry relationships
Able to handle intense situations, collaborating with people across the business, often at pace
Comfortable working in a complex, global organisation that requires influence in order to achieve success
