**ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE**
Award-winning consultancy is looking for an experienced and driven Project Planner to bring expertise and knowledge.

You'll take on a key position, as you:

- Work in a multidisciplinary environment within key rail and/or water projects, optimising the project to scope, budget, and time requirements
- Develop resourced, costed and baselined schedules alongside project milestones and progress tracking systems
- Ensure that the established planning and scheduling methodology is followed in developing project schedule
- Update, detail and maintain the Master Schedule, Baseline and Scenarios whilst remaining cognizant of the contract requirements and overall project strategy
- Manage contractors' compliance with the established methodology, schedules and milestones
- Analyse schedule data critical path, constraints and alignment between work packages - to identify trends and areas for improvement, contributing to progress measurement and forecasting of scheduled work
- Regularly complete reports, updates, and analysis, and prepare schedule data for migration into cost reporting tool
- Analyse resource requirement and availability impacts on the schedule and recommend recovery options.
- Participate in risk management
- Lead and contribute to interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

**ABOUT YOU**
We're looking for a proactive and motivated professional who is able to blend an eye for detail with a holistic, forward-thinking understanding of projects.
- A recognised Degree in a relevant field - Engineering, Project Management, Construction, or similar
- Relevant industry experience (approx. 7-10 years), ideally in rail or water in a client-side consultancy environment
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining project planning and schedules within a complex engineering delivery environment
- Experience in planning & scheduling of capital projects across brownfield and greenfield environments
- Strong Primavera P6 skills for scheduling, forecasting and reporting to provide insights into project metrics and performance, and competency in Microsoft Project
- Strong analytical skills required to review all project planning information and ensure accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A problem-solving mindset and strong time management skills,
