**Your new role**

As a Communication Account Manager, you will be part of the Communications Branch, working closely with policy and program areas to provide strategic communication advice and support. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating integrated communication plans and strategies, as well as producing engaging and accessible communication materials for various audiences and channels. You will also coordinate the procurement and management of communication contracts and liaise with external suppliers to ensure successful outcomes. You will work effectively as part of a small team, delivering results and managing your personal workloads with mínimal supervision.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- A degree or diploma with a major in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the delivery of strategic communication, campaigns, marketing or advertising in Government or private sector, or similar roles.
- Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills, with the ability to tailor your communication style and tone to different audiences and purposes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to anticipate and assess their communication needs and provide appropriate solutions within budget and timeframes.
- Sound research and analytical skills, with the ability to make decisions based on judgement, expertise and knowledge.
- High attention to detail and quality, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, and support and mentor others.
- A current APS staff member who is eligible to transfer for this role on a S26 basis.
- An Australian citizen who can obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (baseline, NV1 or NV2).
