Grocery services include the provision of warehousing services and an integrated transport strategy interstate and intrastate for large supermarkets and retailers with a diverse product range.
**Job Description**:
We are searching for a customer focused Transport Allocator to manage and organise the transport of grocery products to site across the Central Coast and Sydney regions.
This position gives exposure to a Tier One grocery customer, and provides the opportunity to internally progress within the business and industry. Demonstrate your ability to prioritise, problem solve and grow and rise to any challenge.
Reporting to the Supervisor - this position offers a 12 hour shift (4pm - 4am) on a 3 days on, 4 days off / 4 days on, 3 days off roster. Week 1, will be Wednesday - Friday. Week 2, will be Wednesday - Saturday.
**As the Transport Allocator, you will**:
- Effectively co-ordinate all outbound transport services.
- Ensure all records and materials are stored correctly and retrievable on demand.
- Complete checks to ensure arrival and departing times are met per agreed time schedule.
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders including drivers, allocators, union personnel and the customer.
- Work effectively with the team by sharing information and effecting smooth transitions and changeovers on a daily basis without interruption to service levels
**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong administration and data entry skills.
- Experience in the transport industry and Sydney distribution network knowledge highly regarded.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioiritse and problem solve.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with all personnel.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Champion safety in the workplace, ensuring all employees are compliant and understand the HSE requirements.
