**About the role**:
Allocated to the Fortescue Portfolio, we are looking for a highly motivated and energized individual with strong operational experience and a demonstrated ability to work with Village Leadership to ensure focus on driving a proactive approach to resident satisfaction and service delivery. The role will have the Village Managers and Regional Catering Manager directly reporting to them.
As the Regional Operations Manager you will work alongside your colleagues (Regional HSE Manager, Resident Experience Manager, Regional Catering Manager and Indigenous Engagement Manager), whilst reporting to the General Manager of Operations, responsible for financial performance, safety culture, contract performance and compliance. You will be a superstar at developing internal stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery of services to the required standard. Experience in leading whilst training, mentoring and developing staff will be highly regarded and the ability to perform under pressure. A continuous improvement methodology and innovative thinking will ensure you embrace and champion market trends and changes and impart this to your team. A demonstrated ability to meet KPI's, targets and efficiency's is a must - including regular completion of scope compliance audits, delivery, support and coordination of special projects and bespoke functions.

**Role responsibilities**:

- The role is 5/2 and is a client facing role that requires remote site travel (weekly 4 days per week), and corporate meetings on teams and in Perth on a regular frequency. Site travel may vary on a weekly basis pending face to face meetings needed in Perth.
- The aim of this role is to create a high performing team, delivering services within the scope of the contract whilst exceeding our customers' expectations.

- Training and guidance of staff in performing their duties in adherence to company, client and regulatory standards.
- Championing safety through engagement, meeting leader KPI targets, a firm understanding of the HSEMP and engagement in the evolving nature of the HSE/ psychosocial space
- Promoting Diversity and inclusion as a key driver of employee attraction and retention through recruitment programs.
- Promoting, implementing and assisting in the coordination of Sodexo's reward and benefit programs.
- Developing initiatives, concepts and ideas that continually support the employee engagement message and ensure that these messages align with all other corporate initiatives.
- Fostering and maintenance of a strong rapport with staff and managers at all levels.
- Experience is navigating and understanding of a Contract and Scope of Work to educate the team and support commercial conversations with our client related to service and scope expectations.
- Pro-active in how challenge is approached and solutions oriented in ways of working ensuring commercial outcomes and process is followed in doing so.
- Diplomacy and confidentiality in dealings both internally and externally.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in business management/hospitality or a related field is highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in an operational environment in a site operational management position.
- Management experience in a service industry, as well as experience in managing remote sites.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional, trusting and positive working relationships with clients.
- Understanding Food Safety, OH&S and other applicable legislation.
- Understanding of remote site markets and knowledge of the issues that drive and impact the relevant industries.
