As we continue our transformation and growth journey across the region, we are now looking to appoint a**Special Operations Manager**to join the Special Operations Team, Asia Pacific. The role will ideally be based in Melbourne and incorporates extensive travel in Australia and the Asia Pac region.

Our Special Operations team are charged with delivering a range of warehouse convergence projects to our facilities across the region to standardise operations management systems and processes aligned to Lineage's strategic objectives.

The Special Operations Manager is part of a travel team that provides operation support to warehouses, including implementing WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and other IT systems in conjunction with project management and information technology partners.

**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Leading the implementation of WMS systems in partnership with the Information Technology team.
- Stabilising operations pre and post WMS conversions or system upgrades.
- Ensuring inventory meets Lineage operating standards.
- Training, monitoring and providing direct support to front line leaders and team members.
- Supporting all site and company-wide metrics including safety standards.
- Ensuring agreed KPI service level are met on a consistent basis, regularly reviewing and taking corrective actions to address any issues.
- Providing visible leadership by means of positive interaction, regularly communicating activities and establishing & reinforcing clear expectations.

**To be successful, you will ideally have**:

- Extensive management experience in the supply chain or similar industry.
- Experience with WMS systems and a demonstrated aptitude with technology.
- Demonstrable expertise in the monitoring and management of all equipment used in the warehouse.
- The ability to implement new initiatives pertaining to operations, people and processes.
- Significant experience implementing and evaluating metrics, developing and setting targets and associated reporting.
- A strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues.
- The ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed as well as undertaking significant travel in the region.
