**Qualified Educator Needed for Before
- and After-School Care in Maudsland**

We are seeking a qualified educator to provide before
- and after-school care for a 6-year-old child in Maudsland who experiences emotional dysregulation. This role requires an experienced and compassionate educator who can confidently manage and support the child through emotional meltdowns and moments of overwhelm.

**Role Overview**:
The child may experience emotional meltdowns when dysregulated, so it's crucial that the educator has experience and confidence in supporting children with challenging behaviors. A calm and structured approach will be essential in maintaining a positive and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist with morning and afternoon routines.

Provide care and supervision before and after school.

Manage challenging behaviors with patience, understanding, and confidence.

Follow a structured routine to support the child's emotional and physical needs.

Pick up the child from school earlier if necessary (the child may attend school until 3pm, but early pickup may be required depending on their needs).

**Days and Hours Required**:
Monday to Friday

6:15 AM - 8:45 AM

11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility to pick up the child early from school if needed)

**Hourly Rate**:
$40.00 per hour

**Prerequisites**:
Experience working with children, especially those with emotional dysregulation.

Confidence and calmness in managing challenging behaviors.

Strong communication skills and the ability to follow a structured routine.

Ability to build trust and provide a supportive, stable environment.

**The successful applicant will have the following prerequisites**:

- Certificate III in Children's Services (ACECQA approved)
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (in a childcare setting)
- Blue Card
- Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
- Public liability insurance (once successfully placed)
- Medical Clearance
- Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years)
- ABN (this role is for a self employed/contractor)
- Photo ID
- PRODA RA (the office will assist you with this)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift

Licence/Certification:

- Police Clearance (preferred)
- Child Protection Refresher (preferred)
- Cert III in Early Childhood (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)

- Blue Card (required)
