Job Summary

This role involves providing high-quality care and supervision to children before and after school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who experience emotional dysregulation and be confident in managing challenging behaviors.

The successful applicant will need to be able to follow a routine, maintain a positive environment, and work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with morning and afternoon routines for children in our care.
  • Provide individualized support and supervision to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Manage challenging behaviors with patience, understanding, and confidence.
  • Follow a structured routine to support the child's emotional and physical needs.
  • Pick up the child from school earlier if necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Children's Services (ACECQA approved)
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (in a childcare setting)
  • Blue Card
  • Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
  • Public liability insurance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years)
  • ABN (this role is for a self employed/contractor)
  • Photo ID
  • PRODA RA (the office will assist you with this)
