Job Details:
Job Summary: This role is responsible for leading a Financial Services Team who are responsible for all back end settlement transactions and the reporting of these tasks. The role is responsible for ensuring that all functions within the Financial Services team are completed to contractual compliance. Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to seek continuous improvement is key to the success of the role. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage a team responsible for timely and accurate settlement of high volume transactions on a daily basis including all reconciliation and associated reports. Improve team performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies, ensure SLAs/KPIs are met, and provide support and training as needed.
- Meets with customers to report on the monthly settlement reconciliation findings and to resolve any issues. Coordinates customer audits as needed.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and third party credit card clearing and acquirer relationships. Coordinates banking relationships with assistance from corporate treasury.
- Liaise with banks and other external 3rd party stakeholders to manage department requirements and deliveries. Works with various corporate departments to assist in monthly closing and ensure financial data is accurate.
- Review and approve monthly reporting and provide clients with quality management reporting information.
- Manage end user system testing and configuration via consultation with Engineering and the customer. Works with Systems Operations to ensure financial data integrity, data backup, and disaster recovery for the financial system.
- Management of budget and direct headcount within the team. Monitor local indirect expenses preparing variance analysis for controller.
- Coordinate and manage risk and issues register.

Minimum Job Requirements:
**Qualifications**:
Essential:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent

Desirable:

- Exposure to SOC/internal control/SOX audit requirements
- Payment industry and processing experience
- Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations experience
- Knowledge of Payment Card Industry compliance requirements

Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- 5 years demonstrated management and team leadership experience, including mentoring direct reports
- 8 years of managerial accounting or operations management experience
- Strong knowledge of electronic funds movement
- Ability to effectively present information both verbally and written to management, outside customers, and auditors.
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to negotiate with and influence senior levels of management.
- Ability to analyze financial data, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and work under time sensitive deadlines for self and direct reports.
- Experience in working with all levels of management and technical staff
- Experience with system testing and integration
- Customer service oriented
- Knowledge of clearing house and reconciliation processes
- Ability to develop and design customized reporting requirements
