**About the Pools**

There are four Council-owned outdoor swimming pools in Mount Alexander Shire, located in Castlemaine, Harcourt, Maldon and Newstead. Each facility forms a key part of the aquatic recreation services across Mount Alexander Shire Council throughout the Summer period.

Facilities are made up of pools ranging from 25 - 50m and some program pools, while all include a toddler or infant pool. Each facility has a healthy eating kiosk and Harcourt, Maldon and Newstead all boast public access BBQ amenities'.

**About the Role**

Each role, with 4 available, will lead one of the facilities and the team of employees to ensure that the delivery of the programs and services meet agreed standards. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

- Leading, inspiring and motivating teams through clear communication of achievable team goals
- Providing immediate support to customers, staff and contractors across all areas of the facility, when designated as Manager on Duty
- Maximizing customer experiences and ensuring customer enquiries are dealt with quickly and professionally
- Manage various reporting and compliance areas with support from the Senior Coordinator as required
- Support in the development and management of operational rosters to ensure full service to the community
- In consultation with the Operations Coordinator, ensure the operational excellence and maintenance of facility assets.

There is 1 role available across each of the facilities within the portfolio (4 roles in total)

Each role is part time (minimum 25hrs per week) with the ability to work up to full time hours. A maximum employment term until mid-March 2025 also applies.

**About You**

- Communication - Ability to communicate with a variety of people varying in age, ability and background
- Teamwork - Team focused attitude, with ability to work with a range of people to achieve outcomes
- Engagement - Ability to engage with customers to create an engaging and welcoming environment
- Previous experience in the recreation or aquatic facilities industry will be highly regarded
- Basic computer skills

**Essential Qualifications**
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 - Provide first aid
- SISSS00111 - Pool lifeguard skillset
