**The College**
Raymont Residential College is a fully catered co-residential College in Auchenflower (inner-city Brisbane) for tertiary students. Raymont is centrally located between the University of Queensland (UQ), the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), the Southbank campuses of Griffith University and Brisbane TAFE. Supported by excellent public transport, students have easy access to outstanding universities and tertiary training institutions.
Raymont College offers excellent facilities to its students, including spacious accommodation, multiple study spaces, a Student Hub, a pool, a gym, music rooms, unlimited internet and a recreational house. The College is well equipped to cater to the academic and recreational needs of all its students.
In addition to these facilities, Raymont runs several programs, including the Flourishing at Uni series, the Academic Support Program, and the Leadership Certificate course. These programs aim to support their students and help them make the most of their university studies, while also preparing them for future professional opportunities.

**The Role**
The purpose of this role is to provide clear strategic and operational leadership of the Raymont Residential College, provide excellent consultative management of the staff and facilities and lead from the top in creating a supportive and caring Christian environment in which the residents flourish academically and creatively and become resilient and well-formed young adults. The Principal will reside on campus and be available at flexible times of the day.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for the spiritual, pastoral, academic, community and commercial leadership of the college
- Achieve the business objectives of the college and maintain an ongoing financial strength with a hands-on approach to the running of the facilities and operations
- Build and sustain a 'one family' culture of care and collective support for the individual student by college staff, residential assistants and the whole Raymont student community
- Sustain and uphold the values of the college in everyday student life
- Provide leadership and management of college, staff and student leadership team
- Provision of pastoral care and after-hours support of residents and student leadership team
- Implementation and management of an academic support program for residents to enable them to achieve their full academic potential
- Maintain an environment that allows and encourage students to develop their faith and actively participate in the Christian church
- Work proactively to develop an effective marketing strategy and implement accordingly to promote the college to achieve full occupancy
- Promote interaction with the relevant Universities, Residential Colleges and related networks to form productive associations and relationships for the college
- Model the values of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod in day-to-day work, including in interactions with managers, lay staff, ministry agents, clients and stakeholders
- Identify and develop strategies to provide internal and external client focused customer service, including identifying improvements to policy, process and the work environment
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements - review and implement where necessary policies and procedures in relation to relevant legislation. Work within the policies and procedures of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod and the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety and other relevant legislation, including reporting hazards/incidents, support for injured workers and full participation in return-to-work plans
